Customer: With 40 offices in Australia and locations in 70 cities globally, Australia’s Department of Immigration & Multicultural & Indigenous Affairs DIMIA implements Australia’s immigration policies, as part of the Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs Portfolio.
Business Needs: DIMIA needed a strategic, generic client system to maintain information regarding client requests for citizenship, electronic visa processing, and onshore visa grants.
Solution: The Integration Client Services Environment application (ICSE) was built with BluePhoenix AppBuilder and helps support the counter operations at DIMIA's regional offices and overseas posts.
ICSE controls onshore visa processing including temporary visas, residence, protection, visitor and student visas applications and temporary visa extensions. It also maintains information regarding assurances of support, nominations and sponsorships for skilled and family entry into Australia. ICSE provides on-line processing and decision recording; tracks the process of permission requests; and integrates the decision process with entry, alert lists and management reporting systems. |
