Scandinavian Data Center (SDC) is a data center that handles information processing for approximately 80 Danish financial institutions.
Business Needs: SDC needed to create a multi-currency back-office banking system to service their large customer base.
Solution: Corebanking, the system built using AppBuilder processes 780 million transactions a year on 8000 workstations. AppBuilder's repository-based technology and flexible deployment options enabled SDC to move from their initial OS/2 system to a Java enabled Windows front-end with ease, allowing them to leverage past expenditures of intellectual property and labor costs. The Corebanking system is now marketed to banks around the world by SDC Holding A/S and Fidelity National Information Services, Inc.
