End user productivity is an important criterion of business applications. Turning the user experience into a pleasant and productive one is imperative.
BluePhoenix usability experts can turn a legacy application user interface into an efficient and compelling one without changing the business rules or flow. This modernization can be a simple face lift to the old legacy screens using “screen scraping” technology, or a better and more holistic solution at the end of the modernization project. At the end of an automated modernization, the application has similar screens to the legacy application with one big difference, the underlining technology is HTML based.
There are two possible extensions:
- Improve the HTML screens created throughout the modernization: This includes redesigning the screen to improve productivity and usability. Our usage experts add/remove components from the screens in order to provide the end user with all the information and functionality required, while eliminating redundant, unnecessary information.
- Interface consolidation: Enable the use of the modernized application screens in the organization portal. Wrapping and exposing the relevant parts of the application to be easily consumed in standard portal technologies (like SharePoint, SAP portal, and so on).
