ASNA Visual RPG® (AVR) 9.0 for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
AVR 9.0 for .NET Installation - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
AVR 9.0 for .NET requires Visual Studio 2008 be installed on your computer.
If you have not already secured a license of Visual Studio 2008, please contact an ASNA Representative to have a trial version sent to you at no charge, or visit Microsoft's website to download.
AVR 9.0 for .NET will automatically install a small DataGate Windows database on your PC so that you can evaluate the AVR technology without connecting to other servers.
PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to access data on your System i (formerly known as iSeries, AS/400) during your evaluation, ASNA DataGate for System i must be installed on your System i. Therefore, please download BOTH AVR 9.0 and DataGate 8.2 for System i.
ASNA DataGate for Windows, along with an examples database, is installed on your machine when AVR 9.0 for .NET is installed. You will find AVR-written Windows and Web sample projects located in "..\Program Files\ASNA\Examples\AVR for .NET 9.0" following installation.

ASNA Visual RPG® 8.2 for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
ASNA Visual RPG® 8.2 for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 is an RPG compiler for Microsoft's .NET Framework. AVR enables RPG programmers to modernize existing RPG applications, develop Web services, and extend System i applications to .NET and the inherent support in Service Oriented Architecture while continuing to program with a familiar, RPG-like syntax. AVR 8.2 integrates into Microsoft's Visual Studio 2005 and compiles to 100% verifiable Microsoft Intermediate Language (MSIL). AVR for .NET is the only development solution available for Microsoft's .NET that specifically supports high performance access to the System i database.
